The situation

Delatorro L. McNeal wanted to run a 5-day workshop on Zoom that teaches people how to monetize the message they believe can help others. Nothing existed yet: no funnel, no ticketing, and no way to register attendees automatically.

The first step was a strategy and timeline: what to automate, what to keep manual, and whether the tools already in use could carry the project or a new one was needed.

What was built

  • A 5-step ClickFunnels funnel: landing page, General and VIP checkout, a one-time offer letting General buyers upgrade to VIP, and an upgrade checkout so registrants could upgrade any time before or during the workshop
  • Stripe checkout for both ticket types
  • 4 ActiveCampaign automations and 35 emails, including the reminder sequence for registrants and an admin alert on every ticket sale
  • 3 forms
  • A Zapier connection that registered every buyer in Zoom automatically

The hard part

Two things had to work together. General and VIP tickets had to stay separate, while still letting General buyers upgrade. And every buyer had to move through five platforms without anyone doing it by hand.

Stripe and ActiveCampaign were connected to ClickFunnels through their APIs. Contacts were tagged so ticket types could be segmented, and Zapier registered each buyer in Zoom.

The results

  • 538 people registered, and 468 attended live (about 87%). The rest watched the replay.
  • About 75 General ticket holders upgraded to VIP through the one-time offer.
  • Every registrant could be tracked individually, from purchase to attendance.
